Hey Steve. Love this. I like the distinction here. I consider myself a patriot, but we should be able to love and defend our country without the need to be convinced our country is morally superior. The first breeds loyalty, community and inspires us to come together for common causes. The latter blinds us to our flaws and misleads us to believe we have some right or claim over others that exists only in the dark parts of our mind. Spot on comparison. Thanks for the comment.
